WILDERNESS GUIDE LEVEL 1
The Wilderness Guide Level 1 is an extensive and well-rounded training experience that goes beyond just acquiring outdoor survival skills. Throughout this 5 to 6-week course, you will gain technical expertise in leadership, outdoor survival, wildlife awareness, first aid in remote areas and navigation techniques by immersing in a range of ecozones, providing you with authentic, real-life situations that will truly test and enhance your capabilities.
The course has a core training of 3 consecutive weeks, and three elective modules to choose from based in different key study areas (Cold environments, Arid environments and Wildlife & Positive Guiding) followed by a practical period.
Besides preparing and training on your hard skills, a positive learning curve and developing your soft skills as a natural leader are key, becoming aware of and conscious about your personal limits and growth. An open mind, open will, open heart together with a reasonable physical shape are fundamental requisites to be able to join our training.
