ELECTIVE MODULE: WILDER NATURE
Wilderness guiding, Nature Positive Tourism and Sustainable Community development.
In this introduction to Wilderness Guiding in Temperate environments you’ll build upon the learnings of the first 3 modules of WG1. You’ll deepen your skills on individual preparation on the Go Prepared protocol including risk management, emergency response plan, route planning, leave no trace, nutrition, and equipment.
Hands on involvement with the community plays a large role in the learnings, also with special focus on wildlife observation and animal tracking in an amazing environment that brings to life rewilding practices and community development. In this elective module, you’ll observe and track bisons; you’ll practise fire making, shelter building and survival skills. This program has been developed with our partner Moyo Training Foundation who will introduce sustainable community development and positive tourism practices supported by the local association WeWilder.
Our highly skilled and experienced instructors will share with you all their knowledge accumulated over the years. It is a truly privileged place to be where you’ll learn from the best. Quickly you will find out that the hard skills are only part of the story and that controlling your mind is just as important. You will become highly skilled and confident as a temperate conditions guide.
